Allow me to introduce myself....
Hello!
I am Hilary, the girl behind the camera. And I am your new BFF.
I'm the girl that does anything to make your babies smile, cracking jokes to make your husband roll his eyes, fixing your hair, promising snacks, snuggling your babies, crying during the Father/Daughter dance....and a lot more, but I'll stop there.
I was always the girl behind the camera. I always wanted to document that exact moment with my friends, my grandma's laugh, the sunrise, my dog sleeping peacefully...and then I bought an actual camera.
I started practicing taking photos of my nieces or my friends or my neighbors (or my husband, but he hated it). I stayed up late watching YouTube videos and reading photography blogs and practicing and tweaking and more practicing and learning and growing each and every time I hit the shutter button.
I work full-time in hospice care, and what my job has taught me is the importance of capturing that exact moment in time....because one day, all a person may have are those moments captured in time! I'm here to capture those raw and intimate moments with you and your own. Whether you are chasing your toddler or soothing your newborn or dancing with your spouse, I am here to witness it all!
I have lived in the Cedar Valley since I came up here for college in 2008 and love to call this area home. I am married to my husband Craig and I have been his better half for 15+ years. We lead chaotic lives where we are in bed by 9 p.m., him scrolling his phone and me sitting there with my red-light therapy mask on. We have a yellow lab named Max, who is the real-life version of the movie "Marley and Me." Craig is an Assistant Store Leader at Scheels, so chances are he has talked your ear off about traveling or sold you some hard-to-find ammo. We do not have kids of our own but we have 6 nieces and 1 nephew, whom we love like our own! We love the titles of Auntie + Uncle!
I love meeting new people, snuggling babies, thrift shopping, decorating my house, and trying new soup recipes...even if it is 90 degrees outside. If you bring me a CRRRRIISSSSPPPYYYYY Diet Coke, I will love you forever. There is never a wrong time for an iced latte. And I recently learned how to make sourdough bread so I feel unstoppable.
I cannot wait to meet you!
